Session 1 – The Cornerstones

Attendees: Nick, Levi, Brian, Mac, David, Christina and Ruben.
Absent: N/A

100% attendance – that is GREAT. I realize that everyone has busy schedules, and that 100% attendance might not be possible for every session – but is sure is great when we have everyone in the room. Thank you for leaning into this curriculum with me.

Here are some of my short notes to help remember the day.

Nick – 10 months – competition – The Latin word from which “competition” is derived is competere, meaning “to strive together,” “to meet,” or “to come together”. The word is a combination of com- (“with, together”) and petere (“to seek, to strive for”) – so cool… thank you, Nick, for leading this team. Blue Book page 73.

Mac “macKay” – family – a solid theme (at Solid Networks) seems to be “family” – what better “wish” for your family than, “peace of mind” (taken straight from Coach Wooden’s success definition). Blue Book page 37.

Brian (also ‘family’) – this curriculum will be handy not just at work, but with your home (family) – even coaching little league (and beyond). Blue Book page 199.

Ruben “boomerang” – music – feeds the soul and reminds me much of Coach Wooden’s love for poetry. Oh, and thank you for the pre-meeting help. Blue Book page 128.

Levi – motorcycles and weightlifting – a combo as interesting as Azure’s IP Advantage and Purview - Blue Book page 142.

Christina – kiddos – and who can’t love THOR. Blue Book page 22.

David. Golf. Chill. Blue Book page 25.
